This small settlement on a bay, 27 km northwest of Poindimié, is a good destination if you're traveling by bus, since there are several inexpensive places to stay. A few local fishing boats are based here, and Touho is a pleasant place to hang out for a few days. Mandarin orchards, coffee plantations, and tall pines are hallmarks of this area.
Touho Mission with its evocative old church (1889) is two km west of the village and one km off the main road (ocean side). For a splendid view of the entire area, hike up to the cross on the hill above the mission. The track leads off the main road from the top of the hill, 500 meters north of the mission turnoff. Go between the house and the water tank, and it's less than 10 minutes to the top.
Touho's airport is three km southeast of the village, out on the road to Poindimié.
